Ep. 235 | Intentional Intimacy: Looking back, Moving forward
PLAY THE EPISODE
By Francie Winslow
We’ve come to the final episode in our Intentional Intimacy series, and I want to thank you for walking with me through these weeks of simple yet profound ways to connect more deeply with your spouse.
This last practice may feel quiet, but it’s one of the most powerful: remembering.
In this episode, I invite you to pause. To look back over the ideas we’ve explored—things like kissing in the kitchen, moving your body, making eye contact—and reflect on what stirred your heart, what worked well, and what rhythms you want to carry forward into the next season of marriage.
This isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about tuning in to the practices that breathe life into your connection and gently letting go of the ones that may not have fit for this moment. It’s about recalibrating with grace.
Wyatt and I try to practice this rhythm regularly. Whether after a busy season, a family trip, or just a particularly full month, we pause to remember: What felt good? What connected us? What do we want more of in the future?
Remembering isn’t just nostalgic—it’s a spiritual discipline. It trains our hearts in gratitude. It clears our vision. It cultivates hope.
So today, I encourage you to sit with your spouse or with a journal and reflect:
What practices from this series impacted you?
Where did you see God show up in your marriage?
What small, sustainable rhythms can you take with you into this next chapter?
Let’s be people who swim against the current of busyness and choose intentional connection—again and again.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I’m cheering you on, always.
With love and grace,
Francie
